FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MARKHAM–THORNHILL – Today, the Ontario PC Party announced that Logan Kanapathi has been acclaimed as the party’s candidate for Markham–Thornhill in the next provincial general election.

Since first being elected in 2018, Logan Kanapathi has delivered significant results for Markham–Thornhill, including securing funding to widen Highway 7, expanding GO Train service and investing in water infrastructure to support 8,000 new homes. He has also championed investment in workforce development, helping to train over 1,200 workers locally and create more job opportunities.

“Logan Kanapathi is a dedicated and effective voice for Markham–Thornhill,” said Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party. “Whether it’s fighting the Liberal carbon tax to save families money, delivering crucial infrastructure projects like the widening of Highway 7, or expanding transit and housing to meet the needs of a growing community, Logan’s work is making a real difference. His commitment to improving lives and creating opportunities is exactly what we need as we continue building a stronger Ontario together.”

Logan and the Ontario PC Party are working to make life more affordable for families in Markham-Thornhill by supporting job creation through skills training, improving health-care access and investing in essential local infrastructure.

“Serving the people of Markham–Thornhill is the honor of a lifetime,” says Logan Kanapathi. “We are making great progress—improving transit, creating new opportunities for workers, and strengthening our community—but there is still so much more to do. I remain committed to fighting for investments in infrastructure, building more homes, and better public services to ensure Markham–Thornhill continues to thrive for generations to come.”
