The Ontario PC government is delivering once again for Northern Ontario, rewarding the City of North Bay with $400,000 through the second round of the Building Faster Fund, a direct result of the city’s outstanding progress in tackling the housing crisis.
North Bay didn’t just meet its 2024 housing target, they exceeded it by 480%, breaking ground on 398 new homes. That’s the kind of leadership and momentum we need across Ontario to ensure more people can afford a place to call home.
This investment will help North Bay continue building the infrastructure needed to support new homes and jobs while advancing our province-wide plan to get shovels in the ground faster, grow our economy, and protect the dream of homeownership.
The Building Faster Fund is part of our government’s bold plan to build at least 1.5 million homes by 2031. With a total commitment of $1.2 billion over three years, we’re empowering municipalities to speed up approvals, unlock housing supply, and build the infrastructure that growing communities need.
