Dr. Noor Tarun Selected as Ontario PC Party Candidate for Scarborough Southwest By-Election

SCARBOROUGH SOUTHWEST – Today, Ontario PC Party Leader Doug Ford announced that Dr. Noor Tarun has been selected by local Ontario PC Party members as the Party’s candidate for the upcoming Scarborough Southwest provincial by-election.

A dedicated family physician and respected community leader, Dr. Tarun has called Scarborough home for more than two decades. He owns and operates six medical clinics and a specialist centre across the Greater Toronto Area, providing care to hundreds of patients every day, creating jobs and serving families and communities across the region.

“Dr. Tarun understands that people want leaders who focus on practical solutions and get results,” said Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party. “He’ll be a strong advocate for Scarborough Southwest as we continue growing our economy, lowering costs for families and keeping our communities safe from crime. I know Dr. Tarun will work hard every day to deliver for the people of Scarborough Southwest.”

We’re building the Scarborough Subway Extension and the Ontario Line, expanding GO Train service with more than 300 additional trips each week and investing $1 billion to expand Scarborough Health Network and deliver better health care for patients and families. We’re also permanently cutting the gas tax, eliminating licence plate sticker fees and expanding One Fare to put more money back into the pockets of hardworking families.
