Ontario’s PC government is delivering another major milestone in its plan to fight gridlock, reduce travel times and keep people moving by breaking ground on the new Grimsby GO Station.
The new Grimsby GO Station will feature:
- One rail platform
- 220 parking spaces
- A bus loop
- Dedicated pick-up and drop-off areas
The station will also be the first GO Transit station built using a new standardized design that will reduce construction costs, speed up project delivery and provide better value for taxpayers.
The new Grimsby GO Station will:
- Support increased GO service to Niagara Region
- Unlock additional service along the Lakeshore West line
- Create good-paying jobs during construction
- Make commuting faster, safer and more convenient
- Connect more families, workers and businesses across the Greater Golden Horseshoe
The new station builds on Ontario’s PC government’s continued investments across Niagara, including the opening of Confederation GO Station and major upgrades to West Harbour GO Station that are saving 250,000 daily commuters 15 minutes every round trip while improving access to Niagara Falls.
Our government has invested more than $14 billion to deliver faster, more frequent GO Transit service across the province and is investing $70 billion in the largest public transit expansion in North America.
