Wynne must drop out of townhall at men’s only private club

Caboto Club boasts men’s only policy for board members

Premier Kathleen Wynne must cancel an upcoming townhall appearance at a private Windsor club with a policy dictating that only men can sit on its board.

“It turns out that Kathleen Wynne is all talk when it comes to making Ontario a better place for women and girls. What kind of message does this send to little girls that the Premier of Ontario is speaking at club where women are viewed as second-rate,” said Ontario PC MPP Lisa MacLeod.

“She must apologize today and cancel this event. But I am not holding my breath. We know that Kathleen Wynne will always put an opportunity to campaign ahead of doing the right thing. Her priority is solely in putting the interests of the Liberal Party first.”
