FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HURON-BRUCE – Today, the Ontario PC Party announced that Lisa Thompson has been acclaimed as the party’s candidate for Huron-Bruce in the next provincial general election.
Since being elected as MPP in 2011, Lisa Thompson has delivered real results for Huron-Bruce, including expanding high-speed internet access, redeveloping the South Bruce Grey Health Centre in Kincardine, and upgrading key infrastructure like Main Street North in Exeter. Her dedication has strengthened local communities, created opportunities for workers, and improved access to high-quality health care.
“Lisa Thompson is a tireless representative for the people of Huron-Bruce,” said Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party. “She has fought hard against the Liberal carbon tax, delivered critical infrastructure improvements, and connected more families to primary care. Lisa’s work has made a real difference in her community, and I’m proud to have her on our team as we continue building a better future for Ontario.”
Lisa and the Ontario PC Party are working to make life more affordable for families in Huron-Bruce by supporting job creation through skills training, improving health-care access and investing in essential local infrastructure.
“Serving the people of Huron-Bruce is an incredible honor, and it’s something I never take for granted,” said Lisa Thompson. “Together, we’ve made real progress—whether it’s improving health care close to home, expanding access to high-speed internet, or creating opportunities for local workers. But there’s always more to do. I’m committed to rolling up my sleeves and continuing to work alongside our communities to ensure Huron-Bruce remains a place we’re all proud to call home.”
