Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown Delivers Remarks at the London Leader’s Dinner

LONDON – This evening, Patrick Brown marked his recent one year anniversary as Ontario PC Leader with a speech at the London Leader’s Dinner. Brown began his remarks by focusing on the hard work the Ontario PC Caucus and Party has ‎undertaken over the past year. 

“We’re presenting a PC Party that is pragmatic, modern, and ready to govern,” stated Brown. “Slowly, it’s paying off.” 

Brown highlighted some of the many successes occurring in the region.   

“More than 9,000 new jobs were created in London in 2015, and schools such as Fanshawe College and Western University are molding the talent of the next generation of leaders,” Brown said. “Many of these institutions are collaborating with others to foster an environment of medical innovation and growth.”    

‎Throughout his speech, Brown highlighted the hardships faced by Ontario families and businesses under this Liberal Government. 

“Despite all the good things happening in the region, we know there are challenges ahead,” Brown continued.  “We consistently see errors by this government that have made Ontario a ‘have not’ province.  I often say ‘life’s harder with the Liberals,’ but it’s about to get much, much worse.”

The Ontario PC Leader’s speech focused on the path forward for the province by laying out what a Progressive Conservative Government would prioritize to ensure a better, more prosperous Ontario: reducing harmful red tape, investing in infrastructure, lowering energy costs, and addressing the province’s skills mismatch.

“This is going to be slow, relentless hard work. We have to show day-by-day, week-by-week, and month-by-month that we deserve people’s trust,” Brown concluded. “We must be the Party that lifts people’s sights and raises their hopes. We are getting ready to serve again. Let us be confident as we say here tonight: the best is yet to come.”
