Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown Delivers Remarks at Annual Toronto Leader’s Dinner

TORONTO – Patrick Brown marked his recent one year anniversary as Ontario PC Leader with a speech at the sold-out Annual Toronto Leader’s Dinner.Brown welcomed and thanked tonight’s attendees and announced that the event has raised more than $2-million on behalf of the Ontario PC Party.

Brown began his speech by focusing on the hard work the Ontario PC Caucus and the Party has ‎undertaken over the past year, including two successful by-elections.

“I’ve traveled from Windsor to Timmins, from Thunder Bay to Cornwall. I’ve met with families from every corner of Ontario, listened and learned, about the things we need to do. The things we need to change,” stated Brown. “We’re presenting a PC Party that is pragmatic, modern, and ready to govern. Slowly, it’s paying off.”

‎Throughout his speech, Brown highlighted the hardships faced by Ontario families and businesses under this Liberal Government.

“Each day, the government commits unforced errors,” added Brown. “Even I’m overwhelmed by the size, scale and multiplicity of Liberal waste, entitlement and ineptitude. I often say ‘life’s harder with the Liberals,’ but friends, it’s about to get much, much worse.”

The Ontario PC Leader’s speech focused on the path forward for the province by laying out what a Progressive Conservative Government would prioritize to ensure a better, more prosperous Ontario: reducing harmful red tape, investing in infrastructure, lowering energy costs, and addressing the province’s skills mismatch.

“This is going to be slow, relentless hard work. We have to show day-by-day, week-by-week, and month-by-month that we deserve people’s trust,” Brown concluded. “We must be the party that lifts people’s sights and raises their hopes. We are getting ready to serve again. Standing up for what we believe. Reaching out for what we can achieve. Let us be confident as we say here tonight: the best is yet to come.”
