Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the Beginning of Passover

The following is a statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the Beginning of Passover: 

“This evening, the Jewish community in Ontario and around the world will gather around the Seder table with family and friends to celebrate the beginning of Passover.

This sacred holiday, commemorated over eight days, reflects on the exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt, where they had endured harsh slavery at the hands of the Pharaoh for many years.

The Passover holiday is a celebration of the strength and determination of people in the face of persecution. It is a story that continues to inspire not only people of Jewish faith, but other faiths as well.

For all Ontarians, Passover is an opportunity to learn more about their Jewish neighbours, and about the Jewish community’s many contributions to our province.
