The following is a statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on Holi:

“Holi, also known is the Festival of Colours, is a joyful holiday of Hindu origin that celebrates the arrival of spring and is marked by colourful traditions, such as the throwing of colourful powders at revelers during processions and bonfires.

Holi is centred around the themes of love, harmony, thanksgiving and forgiveness and is celebrated by many of Ontario’s South Asian communities. This holiday also attracts Ontarians of all backgrounds, which reflects the very best that our province’s diversity has to offer.

I wish a happy Holi to Ontario’s Hindu and South Asian communities.”
