Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown celebrating Nowruz

The following is a statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown regarding Nowruz:

 

“I am pleased to extend my best wishes to Ontario’s Persian, Afghan, and other Central Asian communities as they celebrate Nowruz. This ancient holiday celebrates the arrival of spring, and with it the spirit of renewal and anticipation.

Members of Ontario’s Persian community will be gathering with family and friends around the Haft Sin table to enjoy a traditional feast featuring dishes symbolizing qualities associated with Spring, including happiness, health and growth.

As Leader of the PC Party of Ontario, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ontario’s Persian, Afghan and Central Asian communities for their contributions to the success of our province, and to wish all those celebrating Nowruz a prosperous New Year.
