Ontario’s PC government is once again delivering on its commitment to protect our most vulnerable and strengthen healthcare across the province.
Under the leadership of Premier Doug Ford, we are investing $89 million to make the Community Paramedicine for Long-Term Care (CPLTC) program permanent. This ensures that more seniors can stay safe, healthy, and independent in the comfort of their own homes. The investment will also expand services in First Nations communities, including Pikangikum and Weenusk.
Originally launched in 2020 and expanded provincewide in 2022, the CPLTC program has already delivered over 310,000 hours of care to more than 81,000 Ontario seniors, providing non-emergency medical support 24/7 — from at-home treatments to remote monitoring.
Making this program permanent and delivering care to seniors in the comfort of their homes protects Ontario’s long-term care system, reduces avoidable hospital visits, supports caregivers, and improves seniors’ quality of life.
