PC Candidate Lorne Coe Vows to Bring Integrity and a Strong Voice to Queen’s Park News Date
WHITBY-OSHAWA – Today, Premier Kathleen Wynne announced her plans to call a provincial by-election in the riding of Whitby-Oshawa for February 11th. In response to the Premier’s plans to meet with the Lieutenant-Governor on Wednesday, Ontario PC Candidate Lorne Coe vowed to bring integrity and a strong voice to Queen’s Park.
“I believe that we as politicians have the opportunity to create and implement policies that can improve lives,” said Lorne Coe. “I promise to be a strong voice and hold the Wynne Liberals accountable on issues such as gridlock, skyrocketing hydro rates, and the government’s ongoing cuts to health care services.”
“People are tired of the Liberal’s political self-interest being put ahead of our community’s needs,” added Coe. “I will work hard to ensure Whitby-Oshawa remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
“After years of representing Whitby-Oshawa as a councillor and through his hard work with a number of organizations focused on social and economic issues, Lorne intimately knows the challenges the residents of Whitby-Oshawa face,” said Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown. “Whitby-Oshawa will be able to count on Lorne Coe to represent its interests with integrity and passion.”
“It would be a tremendous honour to serve Whitby-Oshawa and continue Christine Elliott’s legacy of advocacy and strong representation for our community,” Coe concluded.
