Patrick Brown, PC Leader, Meets PC Party Supporters in Burlington
BURLINGTON, ON – Patrick Brown, Ontario PC Leader, tonight attended a rally with PC Party supporters in Burlington.
“Burlington is fed up with Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals,” said Brown, who was joined by Burlington PC Candidate Jane McKenna.
“After 14 years of Liberal government, Ontarians work harder, pay more and get less,” said Brown. “This has got to change. Jane and I want Ontario families who work hard to pay less and get ahead.”
In a Q and A session with Party supporters, Brown criticized the Wynne government for its failure to deliver on infrastructure promises, its lack of respect for taxpayer dollars and out-of-control hydro prices.
“Nowhere is the idea that life is harder with the Liberals more clear than when it comes to our hydro bills. Kathleen Wynne and the Liberals have given Ontario among the highest hydro bills in North America,” Brown said, noting that nearly 600,000 families were unable to pay their hydro bills in 2015.
“Ontario is still a home of equal opportunity – where anybody who puts in the work and sweat should be able to achieve their dreams,” said Brown. “But in order for that to happen, we need a government that will work hard for a better future. We need change or the better.”
