“Car!!” Patrick Brown, PC Leader, Plays Pick-Up Street Hockey With Kitchener Families
Patrick Brown, long-time hockey fan and Ontario PC Leader, today played some pick-up street hockey with Kitchener families.
“When I’m on tour across Ontario, I’m always looking for ways to get some exercise between events,” Brown said. “Today, I was lucky enough to hang out with some Kitchener families who were enjoying their summer vacation by playing some street hockey.”
Brown is a life-long hockey player and fan. He has organized charity hockey games for nine years, raising over $1.8 million for the local Simcoe County charities.
Past and present professional hockey players that have played in Brown’s games have included Conor McDavid, Steve Stamkos, Corey Perry, Bryan Little, Mike Gartner, Shayne Corson, Darcy Tucker, Barrie Colts coach Dale Hawerchuk, Matt Beleskey, Mark Scheifele and Aaron Ekblad.
“People who know me, know that I love hockey,” Brown said. “To me, there is nothing more Canadian than a little hockey – even in the middle of July!”
