Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the nomination of Troy Crowder
“I congratulate Troy on his nomination as the Ontario PC candidate for Sudbury.
“Troy is a fighter who will stand up for taxpayers and put the needs of his constituents first. Having played hockey alongside some of the greatest players of all time, Troy has proven he’s got the drive and work-ethic to stand up for the people of Sudbury, making sure their voices are heard.
“Not only was Troy an incredibly tough hockey player who went toe to toe with some of the heaviest hitters in NHL history, he’s also actively involved in the community through charity work. In fact, I first became friends with Troy through a charity hockey game in Barrie. On top of that, he is both an entrepreneur and successful business owner.
“After 14 years in power, life is harder with the Liberals. For far too long they have ignored Sudbury and Northern Ontario, meaning families are working harder, paying more, and getting less. Ontario deserves better. It’s time for a change.
“In Sudbury and across the province, the Ontario PC Party will continue to work hard for a better future. I look forward to working with Troy as we share our positive message of change with Ontarians.”
