Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the nomination of Gillian Smith

“I congratulate Gillian on her nomination as the Ontario PC candidate for University-Rosedale.

“Gillian brings a wealth of experience to our modern, inclusive and pragmatic Ontario PC team. Gillian works as the Chief Marketing Officer with the Toronto Region Board of Trade, where she has built strong relationships with Toronto region’s business community. Gillian also previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Canadian Citizenship, a national charity that promotes citizenship and inclusion.

“Gillian’s passion for her community is reflected in her service through a number of community boards, including as Chair of the Toronto Public Library Foundation and Vice Chair of Community Food Centres Canada. I know she will work tirelessly to ensure Toronto families pay less and get ahead.

“After 14 years in power, life is harder with the Liberals. Ontario families are working hard, paying more, and getting less. Ontario deserves better. It’s time for a change.
