Providing Significant Support for Small Business

Ontario has already made more than $1 billion in payments through the Ontario Small Business Support Grant, approving more than 78,000 applications

Our PC government is committed to providing small businesses with financial support to help them manage through this pandemic, so that they can support their business, keep Ontarians employed, and continue serving our communities long after COVID-19 is behind us.

Already, Ontario has made more than $1 billion in payments through the Ontario Small Business Support Grant, approving more than 78,000 applications.

The success of this grant is in part due to its flexibility in meeting the various unique demands of individual small businesses in different regions across Ontario. Small business owners can use the funds in whatever way makes the most sense for their business, from support paying employee wages or rent to maintaining their inventory.

The extraordinary response to the program demonstrates just how important this assistance is to small businesses. And our PC team is working across the government to make sure that as many small businesses as possible will receive support.

We are committed to providing payment within 10 days of an application being approved. Applications that require further review – or that contain incomplete or incorrect information – will take longer to process and approve.

Applications are still open until March 31, 2021 and a detailed step-by-step instructional video on the application portal is available to help guide applicants through the process.
