Alex Down Nominated as 2022 Ontario PC Party Candidate for Oshawa


OSHAWA – The Ontario PC Party is pleased to announce that Alex Down has been nominated as our candidate for the riding of Oshawa for the 2022 provincial election.

Alex is a public relations and real estate professional, with experience working with organizations such as General Motors of Canada and the City of Oshawa. She is currently a Director for the Durham Region Association of REALTORS® and understands the importance of families having a place to call home that meets their needs and budget.

“I am honoured to be running as your next MPP for Oshawa – a place I’ve always called home.” said Alex Down. “Though the pandemic isn’t over, we must continue to protect our progress and build the best Ontario for our families and future generations.”

Alex is also a Director for the Oshawa Kicks Soccer Club, and a past member of Oshawa’s Environmental Advisory Committee, and Cultural Leadership Council. Her passion for housing, recreation and culture has cultivated a deep-rooted commitment to advocacy and volunteerism in her community.

Alex is also fluent in English and French and holds an Advanced Diploma in Public Relations from Durham College.
