Andrew Dowie Acclaimed as Ontario PC Candidate For Windsor–Tecumseh
The Ontario PC Party is pleased to announce that Andrew Dowie has been acclaimed as our candidate for the riding of Windsor–Tecumseh for the next provincial election.
“I want to join Premier Ford and the Progressive Conservative Caucus in government at Queen’s Park to solve problems, not just call attention to problems,” said Dowie. “Windsor–Tecumseh can deliver a positive and strong message by sending me to Queen’s Park, ensuring that our solutions as well as our concerns are part of the provincial agenda.”
Dowie lives and breathes the issues that matter to the region and its residents from his service as a Tecumseh Councillor. If elected as the representative in Government for Windsor-Tecumseh, he will focus his immediate efforts on:
- Securing Phase 2 funding for the planned Windsor-Essex Regional Acute Care Hospital;
- Advocating for new skills development and employment opportunities; and,
- Advocating for a fair share of funding for infrastructure capacity improvements and for the rehabilitation of public assets.
“The Ontario PC Party is proud to have a strong candidate with the background and skillset of Andrew,” said Brian Patterson, President of the Ontario PC Party.
A professional civil engineer, Dowie serves residents of both the City of Windsor as a municipal design engineer and the Town of Tecumseh as their Ward 1 Municipal Councillor. Dowie has a longstanding track record of helping residents navigate their government and improve their neighbourhoods while volunteering with youth in the community.
