Better Emergency Preparedness
Ontario’s Government for the People is making critical investments to improve Emergency Response in Ontario.
The Government is committing a 2.4-million-dollar annual investment in municipal Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) and Hazardous Materials (HazMat) teams in six municipalities across the province. These municipalities include: North Bay, Ottawa, Peterborough, Thunder Bay, Toronto and Windsor.
This new investment will enhance program capability, emergency response times and geographic coverage.
