FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NIAGARA CENTRE – Today, the Ontario PC Party announced that Bill Steele has been acclaimed as the party’s candidate for Niagara Centre in the next provincial general election.

As the current Mayor of Port Colborne, Bill Steele has demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to building thriving communities. Under his stewardship, Port Colborne has seen significant economic growth, including a $1.56 billion investment in an electric vehicle battery separator plant and a $33 million biofuel terminal that will enhance environmentally friendly shipping on the Great Lakes.

“Bill Steele is a passionate advocate for Niagara Centre, and his dedication to creating jobs, building infrastructure, and lowering costs for families is unmatched,” said Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party. “From supporting workers and attracting record investments in electric vehicles to improving access to health care and public transit, Bill is delivering results. I’m proud to welcome him as part of our team as we work to build a stronger Ontario.”

Bill Steele and the Ontario PC Party will continue to support the people of Niagara Centre by focusing on reducing costs, investing in critical infrastructure, and creating opportunities for local families and businesses.

“It’s an honour to be chosen as the Ontario PC candidate for Niagara Centre,” said Bill Steele. “Niagara is my home, and I’ve spent my career working to improve the lives of the people here. As Mayor, I’ve championed projects that create good jobs, strengthen our local economy, and enhance the quality of life for families. I’m excited to bring this same commitment to Queen’s Park, working alongside Premier Ford to ensure Niagara Centre continues to thrive.”
