Bob Gale Acclaimed as Ontario PC Candidate for Niagara Falls
The Ontario PC Party is pleased to announce that Bob Gale has been acclaimed as our candidate for the riding of Niagara Falls for the next provincial election.
“I am honoured to be the PC candidate for this great riding. It is more important than ever that Niagara Falls is able to focus on building a strong economy,” said Gale. “Premier Doug Ford and the PC Team at Queen’s Park have been working tirelessly for the people to keep us safe and put Ontario on a solid path to recovery. Our tourism and wine industries, small business owners and manufacturing sector deserve an MPP who will fight alongside the Premier for their recovery and prosperity.”
As a Regional Councillor, Gale lives and breathes the issues that matter to the region and its residents. He is known for fighting for fairness as a past Niagara Parks Commissioner and is credited with saving provincial taxpayers up to $300 million when the lease for the Maid of the Mist was fairly tendered out. He has also served as a Regional representative on the Regional Municipality of Niagara Police Services Board since 2014, and owned and operated Gale’s Gas Bars Limited for over 30 years.
“Bob is a great example of the high-calibre candidates that we are proud to have as part of our Ontario PC family,” said Gus Koroneos, Niagara Falls Riding Association President. “Congratulations on being nominated as our candidate for Niagara Falls in the next election.”
Gale has spearheaded his family’s involvement in many volunteer and philanthropic endeavours to benefit the community, including the renovation of the Greater Niagara General Hospital emergency room; the construction of the “Gale Centre”; and the first and largest private donation to the new Niagara Falls Museum. Additionally, he has served on several boards including the YMCA, Big Brothers, and the Boys and Girls Club. He is also the recipient of several accolades, including the prestigious Canadian Red Cross Power of Humanity Award 2006.
