Dawn Gallagher Murphy Acclaimed as Ontario PC Party Candidate for Newmarket-Aurora

NEWMARKET-AURORA – Today, the Ontario PC Party announced that Dawn Gallagher Murphy has been acclaimed as the party’s candidate for Newmarket-Aurora in the next provincial general election.

Since being elected as the MPP for Newmarket-Aurora in 2022, Dawn has been a dedicated and vocal advocate for her community. With a background in healthcare leadership and extensive public service experience, she has been instrumental in championing local health initiatives, accelerating home construction, and advancing economic development in the region.

“Dawn has been a remarkable representative for Newmarket-Aurora,” said Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party. “Her expertise in healthcare and her commitment to the people she serves have been crucial in improving local services, building more homes, and attracting investments that create good-paying jobs. Dawn is playing a critical role in delivering on our promise to expand public transit, support job growth, and keep costs down for families. I know she will continue to fight for the people of Newmarket-Aurora.”

Together, Dawn and the Ontario PC Party will focus on key priorities for Newmarket-Aurora, including expanding healthcare, building critical infrastructure like the Bradford Bypass and all-day GO service, increasing housing supply, and supporting job growth through investments in the local electric vehicle sector.
