Says buying local is a “slogan for xenophobes”

TORONTO, May 7, 2022 – Yesterday, Steven Del Duca proposed a new policy for a free “Ontario-grown” breakfast for all children in school – a policy that his own star candidate has referred to as a “slogan for xenophobes.”

There is nothing xenophobic about supporting Ontario’s hard-working farmers.

While in government, the Del Duca-Wynne Liberals ignored rural Ontario. They punished farmers with a cap-and-trade carbon tax and skyrocketing hydro bills.

Doug Ford and the Ontario PCs are getting it done and re-building Ontario’s economy.

We appointed full-time Agriculture Ministers who were farmers themselves and have made sure Ontario farmers have a voice at the table.
