Eric Côté Acclaimed as Ontario PC Candidate for Mushkegowuk–James Bay

The Ontario PC Party is pleased to announce that Eric Côté has been acclaimed as our candidate for the riding of Mushkegowuk–James Bay for the next provincial election.

“Having lived and worked in Northern Ontario my entire life, I understand the issues that matter to the region and its residents,” said Côté. “Premier Doug Ford and the PC Team at Queen’s Park have been working tirelessly for the people to keep us safe and put Ontario on a solid path to recovery. I’m honoured to be nominated as the Party’s candidate for the great riding of Mushkegowuk–James Bay. If elected, I would give Mushkegowuk–James Bay a voice at the table and ensure that our concerns are part of the provincial agenda.”

Côté is the General Manager of Public Works for the Town of Kapuskasing and has served on the Moonbeam town council for the past three years. Thanks in part to these roles, Côté is well-versed in the key issues and opportunities that matter to the region, including jobs, supporting small business, and education. He also brings a track record of success running for council, demonstrating he has what it takes to win.

“We are proud to have strong candidates like Eric as part of our PC team,” said Brian Patterson, President of the Ontario PC Party. “Congratulations on being nominated as our candidate for Mushkegowuk–James Bay for the next election.”

As a Municipal Councillor for Moonbeam and having held several public service roles with the Town of Kapuskasing, Côté has played an active role in the region’s growth over the past 18 years. From Government grant applications such as the Connecting Link Projects, to managing a large annual budget for Public Works, water and sewage treatment, he has been an instrumental part of local governance for many years.
