Graham McGregor Nominated as the 2022 Candidate for Brampton North

BRAMPTON – The Ontario PC Party is pleased to announce that Graham McGregor has been nominated as our candidate for the riding of Brampton North for the 2022 provincial election.

“I could not be more proud of the incredible, strong Ontario PC Party Team we are building here in Brampton,” said Premier Doug Ford, leader of the Ontario PC Party. “I and thrilled to have Graham join our team for the next provincial election, and am confident he will make an exceptional representative for the people in Brampton North.”

A passionate advocate and community organizer, Graham was born and raised in Brampton. His work with former Member of Parliament for Brampton-Springdale Parm Gill and Member of Provincial Parliament for Brampton West Amarjot Sandhu instilled in him a deep appreciation for public service. It was this motivation that has guided his career through various roles and responsibilities with the Ontario Government at the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.

“For the better part of a decade, the Liberals and the NDP took Brampton’s support for granted,” said Amarjot Sandhu, Member of Provincial Parliament for Brampton-West. “Our Progressive Conservative Government is starting to deliver real results for our community, and we need more strong voices like Graham McGregor at the table to support Brampton’s interests and put our residents first.”

Graham has a history of community involvement including playing and volunteering with the Brampton Youth Hockey Association, as well as working at Sparrow Lake Camp and at the City of Brampton El Dorado Camp. He has also worked as a consultant for a local auto dealership and for several small businesses and entrepreneurs in Brampton North.

“I’m thrilled to have been nominated as the Candidate here in Brampton North. The first thing I did was spend the weekend knocking on doors in and around Heart Lake where I was born and raised,” said Graham McGregor, Progressive Conservative Party Candidate for Brampton North. “My pledge to the people of Brampton is simple, and that is I will never forget the people I serve, and I will never let our community down.”

Since the Progressive Conservative Government came to power in 2018, Brampton has seen significant commitments from the province which will improve the quality of life for residents in Brampton including the re-opening of Peel Memorial as a full-service Hospital, the construction of two new long-term care homes, and a commitment to get commute times under control through two-way all day GO service and advancement of the GTA West corridor.

“In just a few short years, Doug Ford and our Ontario Progressive Conservative Caucus are making real progress for Brampton,” concluded McGregor. “Over the coming weeks and months, my team and I will be reaching out to more people across the riding to listen to their concerns, and work to earn their trust and their support come Election Day.”
