John Leontowicz Acclaimed as Ontario PC Candidate for Windsor West

The Ontario PC Party is pleased to announce that John Leontowicz has been acclaimed as our candidate for the riding of Windsor West for the next provincial election.

“I am honoured to be nominated as the Ontario PC Party candidate for Windsor West under the leadership of Premier Doug Ford,” said Leontowicz. “I’m ready to take my passion for public service to Queen’s Park and bring forth positive change for my community. As your representative in Government, I would work hard to ensure our needs and concerns are part of the provincial agenda as our PC government continues to put Ontario back on a solid path to recovery.”

Leontowicz is passionate about public service and putting the needs of the community before all else. He has a long and decorated career in police services, including most recently as Chief of Police in the Windsor Region for the past 21 years. Earlier this year, he retired from this post as the longest serving police chief in Canada. Prior to this role, Leontowicz worked in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in postings across Canada and in specialized duties, including Drug Enforcement, Organized Crime, Economic Crime, Human Smuggling, and patrol duties.

“The Ontario PC Party is proud to have a candidate with the background and skillset of John,” said Brian Patterson, President of the Ontario PC Party. “His commitment to giving back to his community will make him a great representative for the riding. Welcome to the Ontario PC Party team.”

Additionally, Leontowicz attended both the Universities of Regina and Windsor for 11 years, attaining Certificates in Business Administration and Public Administration. He attended executive training courses in Canada, through the FBI and throughout the United States.
