Kathleen Wynne can take lessons in competitiveness from Michigan Governor

Today, Premier Kathleen Wynne will be meeting with Michigan Governor Rick Snyder. She should have done this long ago to learn about competitiveness.

Under Kathleen Wynne and the Liberals, Ontario has lost more than 300,000 well-paying manufacturing jobs. This is the direct-result of uncompetitive Liberal policies.
Michigan is home to lower industrial rates and lower corporate taxes than Ontario.

Ontario is home to some of the highest hydro rates in North America. Ontario is a haven for red tape. The Wynne Liberals’ own budget admits that our corporate taxes are uncompetitive with the United States.

Only Doug Ford and the Ontario PCs will bring good-paying jobs back to Ontario.
Michigan Industrial Hydro Rates: 7.62 cents/kWh

Ontario Industrial Hydro Rates: 16.27 cents/kWh (Average small industrial consumer in Toronto)

Michigan Corporate Income Tax: 6 per cent

Ontario Corporate Income Tax: 11.5 per cent

Under the Wynne Liberals, Ontario has lost up to $1.2 billion selling clean, renewable hydro power to states like Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
