FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WHITBY – Today, the Ontario PC Party announced that Lorne Coe has been acclaimed as the party’s candidate for Whitby in the upcoming provincial general election.

Since first elected, Lorne has championed investments that improve infrastructure, strengthen healthcare, and support job training for local workers. His accomplishments include expanding GO Train service, investing in high-speed internet to connect more homes and businesses, and expanding healthcare services to ensure Whitby families have access to quality care close to home.

“Lorne has been a true advocate for Whitby, securing a new regional hospital for the area and removing tolls on the 412 and 418, to make travel more affordable,” said Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party. “His focus on connecting people to good jobs, expanding healthcare, building essential infrastructure, and ensuring Whitby’s growth benefits families is invaluable. Lorne’s commitment is unwavering, and I look forward to seeing him continue delivering results for Whitby families.”

Lorne Coe and the Ontario PC Party are committed to building on Whitby’s progress by expanding Lakeridge Health, investing in training opportunities for local workers, building more homes and enhancing public services.

“It is a privilege to represent the Town of Whitby, and I remain committed to delivering results,” said Coe. “Our government has accomplished much to improve the lives of local residents. Generational investments in new schools, healthcare, and community infrastructure, as well as fighting the Liberal carbon tax, have made Whitby and the Hamlet of Brooklin even greater places to work, live, and raise a family. I’ll continue to work hard every day on behalf of the people of this great community.”
