Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown to hold annual caucus retreat in Northern Ontario

Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown announced today that his annual caucus meeting will be held on August 24th and 25th in Timmins, Ontario – which is the third time this meeting will be held in Northern Ontario. Last year, the Ontario PC caucus met in Kenora, and the year before in Sault Ste. Marie.

“The Liberals have been in government for 14 years, and what has this meant for Northern Ontario?” asked Brown. “Quite simply, after 14 years Northern Ontario families, workers and taxpayers work harder, pay more and get less.”

Joining Brown on the call was newly elected Sault Ste. Marie MPP Ross Romano. Brown recently named Romano the Ontario PC Critic for Northern Ontario Jobs and the Ring of Fire.

“Our Ontario PC commitment is to make Northern Ontario opportunities a real priority, which the Wynne Liberals have failed to do for far too long,” said Brown. “One of my first actions as Premier will be to take action on the Ring of Fire – a tremendous opportunity that the Liberals failed to mention in their recent budget. With Ross’ help, we will be pushing to see shovels in the ground and good paying jobs created.”

Quick Facts:
