The Ontario PC Party is announcing a leadership transition within its senior team. David Garland, who has served with distinction as Executive Director since 2022, will be stepping down from his role. We extend our sincere thanks to David for his steady leadership and lasting contributions. Under his guidance, the Party achieved record fundraising success and secured a historic third majority government—milestones that reflect his dedication and effectiveness.
Stepping into the role of Executive Director is Gareth Neilson, a seasoned Party organizer with two decades of grassroots and operational experience. Gareth has previously served as Director of Organization, earning respect across the province for his strategic insight and deep commitment to building strong, engaged local teams.
As we look ahead to the next provincial election, Gareth’s proven ability to mobilize supporters and strengthen riding associations will be critical to our continued success. His leadership reflects the values at the heart of our Party—community, commitment, and results.
“I want to thank David Garland for everything he’s done for our Party. He’s been a steady hand and a real team player—helping us deliver a record third majority and build one of the strongest organizations in the country,” said Ontario PC Leader Doug Ford. “I also want to welcome Gareth Neilson to his new role. Gareth knows our Party inside and out. He’s a hard worker who’s been on the ground across the province, building strong local teams. I know he’ll do a great job helping us get ready for the next election.”
Please join us in thanking David for his service and welcoming Gareth into this new chapter of leadership.
