Peter McSherry Nominated as the Ontario PC 2022 Candidate for Guelph

GUELPH – The Ontario PC Party is pleased to announce that Peter McSherry has been nominated as our candidate for the riding of Guelph for the 2022 provincial election.

Peter is a lawyer and owns his own law firm focusing on matters primarily relating to employment and disability rights.

For decades, Peter has been an active community volunteer having served as the Vice Chair of the Guelph Police Services Board, a director of the Rotary Club of Guelph, secretary of Bracelet of Hope, past board member and secretary of Torchlight Industries, and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Guelph.

“I am grateful to have been nominated as your PC candidate for Guelph,” said Peter McSherry. “As a resident, small business owner and community volunteer, I hope to bring a new voice to Queen’s Park and advance the priorities of our community.”

Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Law Degree from Queen’s University. He is an immigrant from Scotland and currently lives with his wife, Leanne, and their daughter Gwen.

“We are pleased to have Peter join the PC team ahead of the next election,” said Bob Coole, President of the Guelph PC Riding Association. “Peter will be a strong advocate for the people of Guelph.”
