Progressive Conservatives Nominate Lorne Coe as PC Candidate for Whitby-Oshawa News Date

WHITBY-OSHAWA – Today, Ontario Progressive Conservative members in Whitby-Oshawa nominated Lorne Coe as their candidate for the upcoming by-election.

“On behalf of the Ontario PC Caucus I would like to congratulate Lorne Coe on successfully securing the nomination to represent our Party in the upcoming by-election in Whitby-Oshawa,” said Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown.

“Whether it’s the fire sale of Hydro One, the expansion of the Municipal Land Transfer Tax, or cuts to front line health care services, after 12 years in power, this Liberal Government has clearly lost the respect for the people they are supposed to represent,” said Lorne Coe‎.  “I am proud to represent Patrick Brown’s Progressive Conservative team. I look forward to working hard to keep Whitby-Oshawa blue and to hold the Liberals accountable.”

“As Ontario PC Leader, this was my first opportunity to oversee an open and democratic nomination process,” continued Leader Patrick Brown.  “I’d like to thank candidates Charity McGrath and Shane Kelly for their contribution to the Progressive Conservative cause.”

“I am confident that with the help of the people of Whitby-Oshawa, Lorne will be a strong advocate at Queen’s Park and an excellent MPP,” Leader Patrick Brown concluded.
