ROTATING STRIKES CAUSES CONCERN FOR ONTARIO’S PUBLIC ELEMENTARY STUDENTS

Queen’s Park – Leader of the Official Opposition and Ontario PC Education Critic Patrick Brown is concerned for public elementary students and their parents after learning that the schools may soon be faced with rotating strikes.

“The Wynne Liberal government has no excuse. They ran on a platform of labour peace and yet their policies and two-tier bargaining system has created chaos for children and parents. Parents remain anxious with serious concerns that their children may not be in the classroom,” said Brown.

“Across the province parents have been sharing their worries that they won’t be able to find daycare options if their children aren’t in the classroom. The Liberals need to get back to the bargaining table and get a deal done for the sake of students and parents,” added Brown.
