Statement by Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on Multiculturalism Day

Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown made the following statement today on Canadian Multiculturalism Day:

“Multiculturalism Day is an opportunity to celebrate our country’s rich tradition of inclusion and diversity. We are very fortunate to live in such a rich and vibrant province – where our diversity is one of our greatest strengths.

It has been an honour to use my first year as Leader of the Ontario PC Party to travel into every corner and community of our great province, and to meet so many people who came to Ontario in search of a better life – bringing with them energy and enthusiasm. Their contribution to our academic, economic, cultural, and social diversity is immense. That so many of our recent Canadians are joining the Canadian Armed Forces and other uniformed services is a testament to their appreciation for defending our country’s values of freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law.

I am proud that Ontario’s diversity has enriched countless communities across our province and has made it an inclusive, dynamic and thriving place to call home. As part of this, the Ontario PC Party looks forward to welcoming even more new members into our Party from all backgrounds.”
