Statement by Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on Republic of India Day

It gives me great pleasure to offer warmest wishes to Ontarians of Indian heritage who are celebrating India’s 67th Republic Day.
Having recently returned from a trade mission to India, accompanied by colleagues Vic Fedeli, Jack MacLaren, Lisa MacLeod, and Norm Miller, I can attest to the dynamism and warmth of their citizens.

We are very fortunate for what Canadians of Indian heritage bring to this province, particularly in Brampton, Mississauga, and Toronto. For over a century, Canadians of Indian descent have proudly contributed to our province’s cultural, economic, social, religious and political diversity.
On this special day, I extend my best to all who are celebrating India’s Republic Day.
