Statement from Leader of the Official Opposition Patrick Brown marking Paramedic Services Week
The following is a statement from Leader of the Official Opposition Patrick Brown marking Paramedic Services Week:
“Paramedic Services Week gives us a wonderful opportunity to convey our thanks and appreciation to the brave men and women who serve Ontario as primary, advanced, and critical care paramedics.
Often the first to provide emergency care to those in need, first responders put their lives on the line in service to their community. They face unforeseen risks in their work place each day. It is for this reason I was proud to work with members from across the aisle and affected groups to help pass the Supporting Ontario’s First Responders Act, allowing for faster access to WSIB benefits and resources.
As Leader of the Official Opposition, I look forward to further working with Ontario’s paramedics and members of other emergency services as we work to build a better and safer province.
On behalf of all my colleagues in the PC Caucus, I thank our paramedics for their essential and outstanding work in communities across the province. I encourage Ontarians to show their appreciation for paramedics’ contribution to the safety and well-being of our communities.”
