The following is a statement from Leader of the Official Opposition Patrick Brown on the 90th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II:

“Today is an opportunity to honour the legacy of an exceptional individual as we celebrate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

 

For years, she has served as an inspiration, not just to Great Britain and the Commonwealth, but the whole world.  Our Queen stands as a symbol of security, unity, and unwavering leadership – a reminder of not only our past, but of our future.

On a personal note, one of my greatest memories was in 2010 when Her Majesty visited Canada. I had the tremendous honour of bringing my father, who was born in London, England during the Second World War, to meet her.

On behalf of the Ontario PC Caucus, I want to extend my best wishes to Her Majesty. Long live the Queen.”
