Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown Celebrating Jewish Heritage Month

“Five years ago, all three parties in the Ontario Legislature joined together in unanimous support of Bill 17 designating May as Jewish Heritage Month.

“This important designation recognizes and highlights the many important milestones in the history of the Jewish people. It is a celebration of the remarkable achievements of Jewish Canadians in Ontario and across the country. And it is a time for all of us to learn of the numerous contributions our Jewish friends and neighbours continue to make to Ontario.

“Ontario’s Jewish community is an invaluable part of our province’s social and cultural fabric. This month provides all of us with the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Jewish people.
