Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the by-elections in Ottawa-Vanier and Niagara West-Glanbrook

The following is a statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the by-elections in Ottawa-Vanier and Niagara West-Glanbrook:

“Today the writ was issued for the provincial by-elections in Ottawa-Vanier and Niagara West-Glanbrook. The Ontario PC Party is excited to meet with residents in both Niagara and Ottawa, listening and taking action on the issues most important to them.

“After 13 years of Liberal government, life is harder. Skyrocketing hydro rates have driven many families across the province into energy poverty, and we continue to see cut after cut to essential health care services. Years of scandal, waste and mismanagement under this Liberal government has put our province at an economic disadvantage.

“Perhaps most importantly, Ontarians are tired of being ignored.  We welcome voters having an opportunity to send Premier Wynne a message – that government is supposed to work for the people of Ontario, not the other way around.

“We will continue to work hard to earn the trust of the people of Ottawa and Niagara, sharing our positive message for a more prosperous Ontario.”
