Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the nomination of Amanda Simard

Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the nomination of Amanda Simard as the Ontario PC Party candidate for Glengarry-Prescott-Russell

“I congratulate Amanda Simard on her nomination as the Ontario PC Party candidate for Glengarry-Prescott-Russell.
“Amanda brings a wealth of experience and an important perspective to our modern, inclusive, and pragmatic Ontario PC team. Amanda is a popular local city councillor, a law graduate from the University of Ottawa, and very active in the francophone community. I have no doubt that Amanda will be a powerful voice for the people of Glengarry-Prescott-Russell at Queen’s Park.
“After 13 years in power, life is harder under the Liberals. Skyrocketing energy rates have driven countless families into energy poverty and businesses out of the province. Wynne Liberal cuts to health care mean our province’s most vulnerable are left waiting for care, and scandal after scandal has meant that billions of tax dollars have been wasted.
“Ontario is ready for change, but the Ontario PC Party will take nothing for granted. I look forward to working with Amanda and the rest of our Ontario PC Party team as we work hard to spread our positive message with the people of Ontario.”
