Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the nomination of Sheref El Sabawy
“I congratulate Sheref on his nomination as the Ontario PC candidate for Mississauga-Erin Mills.
“Sheref brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to our modern, inclusive and pragmatic Ontario PC team. With strong ties to the Egyptian Canadian Coptic community, Sheref is an IT professor at both George Brown and Centennial College and an IT engineering consultant. Sheref’s passion for his community is evident, and he has been a community activist and volunteer in Mississauga for over 15 years. I know that Sheref will work tirelessly on behalf of the residents of Missisauga-Erin Mills.
“After 13 years in power, life is harder under the Liberals. Skyrocketing hydro rates are unaffordable for both families and businesses. Cut after cut to health care services has meant more time waiting for care, and taxpayer dollars continue to be wasted on Liberal scandals. Ontario residents deserve better.
“In Mississauga and across the province, the Ontario PC Party will continue to work hard to earn the trust of voters. I look forward to working with Sheref and the rest of our Ontario PC team as we continue to share our positive message of change.”
