Statement from Ontario PC Leader Doug Ford on the nomination of Jo-Ann Cardinal:
“I congratulate Jo-Ann on her nomination as the Ontario PC candidate for Nickel Belt.
“Jo-Ann has many years of experience in the finance industry and uses her skills to develop financial literacy projects for the community. These projects are aimed at youth, so that they are equipped with the tools they need to responsibly manage their own finances.
“Jo-Ann makes an excellent addition to our strong Ontario PC team.
“It’s time for a change in Ontario. For 15 years, the Wynne Liberals have made life harder for families. They have put their insider friends and political self-interests ahead of the hard-working people of Ontario. The Ontario PCs will respect the taxpayer, end the culture of waste at Queen’s Queen’s Park, and stand up for the little guy.

“I grew up in the Nickel Belt area and share the concerns of many in the riding. Concerns over my hydro rates, a carbon tax, and access to healthcare to name but a few. They know it can’t continue like this, and they know Doug Ford is the answer the North needs.
“Joining Doug Ford’s team is the best way for me to help the hardworking people of Nickel Belt. Together, we will get this province back on track.”
