FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BELLEVILLE – The Ontario PC Party is proud to announce Tyler Allsopp as the official candidate for the riding of Bay of Quinte.
Tyler Allsopp, a longtime Belleville resident, is a dedicated husband, father of three, and small business owner. Since joining Belleville council in 2021, he has worked tirelessly to keep costs down for families and businesses, reduce the time drivers spend in traffic, and get more homes built.
“Tyler is exactly the type of leader we need at Queen’s Park. He’s ready to fight the costly Liberal carbon tax and will help us get it done for Bay of Quinte by widening Highway 401 and building a new interchange to help get people where they need to be faster. I’m proud to welcome him to our strong team,” said Ontario PC Leader Doug Ford.
Beyond his role in municipal politics, Tyler is the co-founder of several community initiatives, including the Community Cares Holiday Meal, Doug and Henry’s 50/50 Fondo for Mental Health, and the Belleville Bike Drive. He also served as the treasurer of the Enrichment Centre for Mental Health in Belleville.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to see Tyler become the next candidate to serve the people of Bay of Quinte. I know he’ll work hard to get it done,” said Todd Smith. “His deep roots in the community and experience in business will make him a powerful voice for the great people of Bay of Quinte at Queen’s Park.”
As a small business owner, Tyler understands the challenges that local entrepreneurs and families face. He is focused on creating good-paying jobs and keeping costs down for hard-working people and businesses.
“I am honoured to represent the Ontario PC Party as the candidate for Bay of Quinte,” said Tyler Allsop. “Bonnie Crombie and the Liberals want to make life more expensive. They support the carbon tax, will raise the gas tax, and plan to bring back fees for renewing license plates. I understand the struggles many families like mine face, and I will work tirelessly to ensure that communities across Bay of Quinte continue to get ahead.”
The Ontario PCs are getting it done in Bay of Quinte by widening Highway 401, building the new Belleville East Arterial Road (BEAR) interchange, investing in infrastructure to build more homes, and building the new Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital.
