FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MILTON – Today, the Ontario PC Party announced Zee Hamid is the party’s candidate for the upcoming provincial by-election in Milton.
A long-time resident of Milton, Zee puts his community first. He served as a Milton councillor for three terms, working to build more homes and get people moving. He has served as a director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton and Hamilton, and on the boards of Halton Healthcare, Halton Community Housing Corporation and Conservation Halton. He currently serves on the board of Community Development of Halton North.
“Zee Hamid is a champion for Milton who will help us get it done by building Highway 413 and extending two-way, all-day GO train service along the Milton line,” said Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party. “While Bonnie Crombie and the Liberals support a carbon tax and oppose Highway 413, Zee is ready to hit the ground running to deliver on Milton’s priorities.”
An experienced professional in the tech sector, Zee is passionate about expanding access to high quality education, connecting the next generation with skilled jobs and creating jobs for the local economy. He lives in Milton with his wife and their family of six children.
“Milton is my home. For over a decade, I served Milton on local and regional councils by putting families first and listening to our community,” said Zee Hamid, Ontario PC Candidate for Milton. “Milton deserves strong local representation at Queen’s Park from someone who knows and understands their concerns, which is why I’m running to build Highway 413 and fight the Liberal carbon tax on groceries and home heating.”
The Ontario PCs are getting it done for Milton by expanding GO train service on the Milton line, investing in Milton’s infrastructure to get more homes built, cutting traffic by building Highway 413 and reducing wait times at Milton District Hospital.
