Stéphane is currently the Mayor of the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet and the 2021 Warden of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR), serving on multiple boards and committees. In his capacity as Mayor, Stéphane oversaw projects such as the construction of the new Prescott and Russell Residence and economic development initiatives support local businesses and farmers.

Stéphane says his work is not done and he will continue to make local concerns a priority at the provincial level, “I look forward to continuing to work hard for the people of Glengarry-Prescott-Russell and, together, we will continue to put Ontario back on a solid path to recovery,” said Stéphane Sarrazin.

Prior to his career in municipal politics, Stéphane started his own business in 1990 and was the President of Hydro 2000 Inc., overseeing electricity distribution in the village of Alfred and Plantagenet.
