Doug Ford and the Ontario PCs will get it done in Kanata—Carleton and Scarborough—Guildwood

The Ontario PCs are proud to have two local champions as candidates for the by-elections announced today in Kanata—Carleton and Scarborough—Guildwood.

“As our province continues to grow, it’s never been more important to build Ontario,” said Doug Ford, leader of the Ontario PC Party. “The choice in these by-elections is clear. Sean Webster and Gary Crawford are ready to get to work to deliver on our government’s ambitious plan to build more highways, roads, transit and hospitals for the people of Ottawa and Scarborough.”

Sean Webster is a proud resident of Kanata—Carleton and is running to make sure his community continues to have a strong voice at Queen’s Park. Sean is a seasoned professional with extensive corporate and not-for-profit experience, including serving on the board of directors of the Ottawa Convention Centre.

“I’m proud to call Kanata—Carleton home, and ready to stand up for this community and its residents at Queen’s Park,” said Ontario PC candidate Sean Webster. “Under the leadership of Doug Ford, the Ontario PCs are building the new Ottawa Hospital, training more family doctors, expanding Highway 417 to fight gridlock, and growing our local economy with a $30 million investment in the Kanata North Technology Park.”

Gary Crawford has a proven track record of standing up for the people of Scarborough at City Hall and is ready to bring his voice to Queen’s Park. As a long-time advocate for the Scarborough subway and as the City of Toronto’s budget chair, Gary knows the importance of respecting taxpayers by keeping costs low.

“A strong Ontario needs a strong Scarborough,” said Ontario PC candidate Gary Crawford. “That’s why Doug Ford and the Ontario PCs are building Scarborough’s three-stop subway expansion, investing $1 billion to build new local hospitals, and training residents for good-paying jobs in the skilled trades.”

The by-election votes will happen in both ridings on July 27, 2023.
